We have a variety of opportunities available for members looking to get more involved! - The easiest way is by responding to conversations, attending community events, and just generally connecting with the community on Geneva!- We might highlight you as one of our Member Monday takeovers, feature you on our podcast, or spotlight on our social media (be sure to keep Geneva notifs in case we reach out to you!) and fill out our Get Featured form so we know you are interested!- We have Community Moderator and Gen Z Advisory Board positions you may be interested in applying to. Click this link to apply!
We know you have a lot on your plate! The great thing about our community is that there is no time commitment required to participate. Stop by whenever you have some free time, see an interesting conversation you want to engage with, or when you have something on your mind that you want to discuss! With that said, we know from personal experience that the more you put into the community, the more you'll get out of it.
Great question! If you swipe right in our Geneva home to see the full list of all our rooms, you'll see at the top of your screen a little button that says + Invite. Click this button and you'll get a direct invite link to our community! Send this link to all your fellow Gen Z friends, and don't forget that you'll receive a free piece of merch for every five friends you've referred who joined the community. Click this link to submit your referrals and win merch!
An echo chamber is an environment in which a person encounters only beliefs or opinions that coincide with their own, so that their existing views are reinforced and alternative ideas are not considered.
We can very easily create echo chambers on our social media accounts and IRL, often without intending to! This most often happens because we generally follow people and subscribe to communities with whom we agree or identify. Ever notice yourself unfollowing someone because you disagree with something they posted? We're on a mission to help you break that habit.
We challenge you to diversify your in-person and social media circles and find people who have different opinions, perspectives, and identities than you do!
We can't wait to collaborate and amplify your work through our community! Email us at partnerships@theconversationalist.com and we can hop on a quick call to discuss the best way to work together.
The best way to make friends and form connections in our community is to regularly engage in Geneva. Be active in conversations and come to our events and we promise, friends will come! We also recommend filling out our official TC Member Directory. This will allow you to share more about yourself and learn more about other community members so you can better connect and network. Fill out the Directory form here!
If you have a community guideline violation to report, please fill out a report form at this link. Read more about our community guidelines here. You can also bring your various comments, questions, and concerns about the TC community to our Community Operations Manager, Taylor, via Geneva DM.
The Geneva App is home to our online TC community! Within our home you'll have the opportunity to chat 24/7 with other Gen-Z'ers from around the world and anything and everything on your mind! The app can be found on both the App Store and the Play Store.
Our Gen Z community starts at 15 years old and goes up to 25! We are by Gen Z, for Gen Z for right now, but are working to open TC up to other ages soon! Please stay connected with us on social media if you fall outside of this age range - we can't wait to hear your voice.
The world is more disconnected than ever before and we need a place to go to make sense of it all. Thanks to social media algorithms, we’ve all been put into echo chambers where we are only seeing and interacting with people who think like us, making this divide so much bigger! The TC community is a place where we can have actual conversations with other Gen Z’ers from all points of view (instead of just trolling people’s comments) so we can figure out a way to make sense of the world! By using your voice to start conversations that matter, we can begin to find common ground, unify our communities, and begin making positive change.
