Dr. Oz is using his platform to empower viewers to live happier and healthier lives

‍

Dr. Oz is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon who you may also know as the Emmy Award Winning Host of “The Dr. Oz Show.” He was honored as the 2020-2021 celebrity ConversationaLIST honoree for the Healthcare category in celebration of his exceptional work in the healthcare field.

Throughout his career, Dr. Oz has won ten Daytime Emmy® Awards for “The Dr. Oz Show” and is an Attending Physician at NY Presbyterian-Columbia Medical Center. He still performs dozens of heart operations every year. He also appeared as a featured health expert on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” for six seasons.

Over the past year, Dr. Oz has used his platform to keep the public informed and promote unification around the Covid-19 pandemic, amplify others’ voices, and initiate hard conversations that have saved lives. Additionally, he’s breaking open echo chambers by providing facts through OZtube. This new digital video platform offers advice and tools you need to live a healthy and happy life.

During his panel, Dr. Oz said he never expected something like the Covid-19 pandemic to happen and that the United States was unprepared to take precautions. “It’s broken apart some of the relationships we’ve had and the assumptions we’ve made,” he said. “That will be good in some ways and bad in some ways, and a lot of it depends on how we cope.”

Dr. Oz is already looking ahead as more Gen Z’ers emerge into the medical profession. He’s launched the campaign #More BlackDoctors to encourage more diversity and inclusion with the medical profession on his show. “The field is as bright as it’s ever been,” he said.
